Publisher's summary

“It is a sin to write this. It is a sin to think words no others think and to put them down upon a paper no others are to see. It is base and evil.” Deep issues of conscience are explored in Ayn Rand’s dystopian tale of a man who dares to fight against a system that invades his very mind and identity.

Excellent.

Great narrator. Great science fiction. Potent message about finding one’s own way in life. What’s not to love?

too short of a book to fully enjoy

this book had an amazing start and plot but had an ending that came much too early.

Super thought-provoking!

This book grabbed you and keep your interest the entire book. It is short but I felt it was worth my full credit. I’d love to sit down and talk to the author about my questions… But… But what about…? I can’t see what those questions are or it would be a spoiler, however, I fully endorse this book and would recommend it to any deep thinker as an enjoyable short read!

Such a bizarre tale

Like a future Adam and Eve coming of age story. It was hard to grasp at first but hang in there. Well worth the listen. Just remember… we=me; they=her

Wow, that was great

What made the experience of listening to Anthem the most enjoyable?

I enjoyed the story, it's appreciation of the individual, and the narrator.

Have you listened to any of B. J. Harrison’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not but will look up and see what else he has done.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Don't give away your freedom.

Any additional comments?

I had read Atlas Shrugged in the past and enjoyed it but felt it went a little long and off the rails at the end (though I think I will still get the audio book). I think this work is superior. It is a simple and short story but it has a powerful message. You really cannot have freedom for all without freedom for the individual.

Treasure this book

If there is a last line of defense for freedom, this book is it. Shortest, concise defense of individual rights.
