Publisher's summary

This is a three-in-one combo with everything you need to know about the Roman empire. The following books are included:

Book one

Become familiar with the time of the Romans. Learn about their slaves, their freemen, their sex slaves, their sex lives, their prostitutes, their habits and professions, and more. This audiobook will put special emphasis on the rebellion of Spartacus, the taboos in Roman culture, and the religious cults with their idols.

Book two

A perfect explanation of what went on with how the Roman empire began, how it was run, what some of the emperors did, etc. You’ll find out why and how it ended, how the wars influenced their expansion and shrinkage, and many other facts.

Book three

This book will guide you to the right knowledge about all the historical details you need to know about Nero, Caligula, Hadrian, Commodus, Constantine the Great, Caracalla, Marcus Aurelius, Julius Caesar, Augustus, and others. Some were pure evil, abusive, and sheer dictators with their own self-interest that was their only focus. Others had the best intentions for the empire. These emperors left their mark on the people, the history of the entire empire, and the cultural influence the Romans had on us.

Very interesting, I must say

It's a really good thing when you are able to just put on your earphones and tune in to an audiobook like this. This manual deserves a big, fat 5-star rating. This was definitely worth my time. Finally, a book that gives you what you want. One other detail: The narrator appeared so great that I would most likely listen to it in the future. Perhaps even more than just one time. I cannot remember everything that's being stated in these audiobooks, so it would be worth reminding me of what was being said.

I liked it

It's so great that my cat gave it 5 stars as well. Just listening in my truck, I enjoyed this particular audio book. There were a lot of points within this book that I did not know before. I am glad I got it. It was definitely worth my time, especially because I listened to it while I was driving a car to work.

Yes!

The Romans were an interesting people. Their empire stretched far. It's fascinating to hear something about it in audiobook form. The 10 hour book is great for a credit.

Coby Evans did great

This book is very good. Mind-blowing! Have you ever tuned in to a book like this one? The storyteller's voice was soothing. Did I already point out that it sounded extremely professional? It did. Without a doubt, and that's the reason why I loved listening to it a lot.

How to turn an exciting topic into a boring read

History of ancient Rome is undoubtedly an exciting topic. This book makes it seem flat and uninteresting. It turns this rich story into a string of dates, dry facts and poorly pronounced names. It reminded me of how history had been taught at school by the least talented teachers. Performance of the narrator puts the nail in the coffin: his speach is unclear and his steady and unemotional pace works like a sleeping pill. In summary - the book is a waste of one credit.
