Publisher's summary

In the most devastating political detective story of the 20th century, two Washington Post reporters, whose brilliant, Pulitzer Prize-winning investigation smashed the Watergate scandal wide open, tell the behind-the-scenes drama the way it really happened.

Beginning with the story of a simple burglary at Democratic headquarters and then continuing with headline after headline, Bernstein and Woodward kept the tale of conspiracy and the trail of dirty tricks coming - delivering the stunning revelations and pieces in the Watergate puzzle that brought about Nixon's scandalous downfall. Their explosive reports won a Pulitzer Prize for The Washington Post and toppled the president. This is the book that changed America.

Best narration of any ebook I've listened to

They just don't do narration like they used to I guess. This one was extraordinarily well narrated.

Great read

The performance is fantastic and the work of Woodward and Bernstein demonstrates the need for a vigorous free press.

I can't wait to hear Trump fall.

It is very wrong to even think about a leader of a nation fall from grace, but in the case of Trump, we are all justified in thinking this way. After listening to this book, I found that there are so many similarities between Trump, and Nixon. I trust in this investigative reporting, and I would strongly recommend you listen to the other investigative novels written by these authors. This wasa perfect example of how a newspaper shined in it's hay day.

FANTASTIC!

If you want to experience an utterly bizarre slice of American history, All The President’s Men is the book that you need to listen to. Exhaustively researched and reported, Woodward and Bernstein methodically lay out their part in the Watergate saga. And it wasn’t always smooth sailing. They unashamedly point out all of their mistakes as well as their successes.

Richard Poe does a great job as narrator. His Richard Nixon is particularly good. The only missteps are that the audio equipment is too good. I could hear pages turning and his clothes rustling when he would shift in his chair. Somewhat distracting, but not overly so.

Excellent narrator too! Should be required reading for every American. Highly recommend this book and the follow up on Butterfield.
