Publisher's summary

The assassination of John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963, continues to inspire interest ranging from well-meaning speculation to bizarre conspiracy theories and controversial filmmaking. But in this landmark audiobook, reissued with a new afterword for the 40th anniversary of the assassination, Gerald Posner examines all of the available evidence and reaches the only possible conclusion: Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone.

There was no second gunman on the grassy knoll. The CIA was not involved. And although more than four million pages of documents have been released since Posner first made his case, they have served only to corroborate his findings. Case Closed remains the classic account against which all books about JFK's death must be measured.

Detailed, yet never boring

Narration was absolutely flawless--a joy to listen to. Posner gets way into the weeds without being boring. Truth-lovers will love this book. Conspiracy buffs will be disappointed.

A spot-on analysis

Enjoyed as much as the paperback. Posner destroys all the unfounded conspiracy theories. Solid narration other than some mispronunciations, particularly the name of G. Robert Blakey who was consistently referred to as "Blakely."

Excellent narration and never boring

A non condescending telling of the historical record. He engages with the evidence and addresses a lot of the confusion surrounding “suspicious” things conspiracy theorists latch on to or ask about.

Case Closed...and then some.

This book makes mincemeat of all the bizarre assassination conspiracy theorists by providing clear objective research based on facts . Sadly, the peddling of conspiracy theories surrounding the assassination of JFK became a lucrative industry that capitalized off a national tragedy. However, this book decisively
dismantles the multitude of conspiracies out there along with the charlatans who push them.

Detailed and convincing

Posner spares no detail imaginable to prove its thesis and disprove conspiracy theories. The book is essentially a biography of Oswald, followed by a biography of Ruby, follows by a critical review of the conspiracy literature. It’s well told and well read. It may be too detailed for many readers.

Excellent on all levels

Posner went to great lengths to close the book on the various conspiracy theories surrounding the JFK assassination. At one time I was someone who believed in the Garrison/Stone narrative. As I have gotten older I have learned so much more about the assassination and those who experienced it first hand.

This is definitely a must read.

Conclusive

Posner leaves no stone unturned in this exhaustive investigation into what really happened on November 22nd, 1963. Even those who don't want to accept the truth presented here, will have to admit there is no denying the skill in which the facts are presented in this book.
