Publisher's summary

Can we prove that the Bible makes false claims?

Do its moral teachings justify it being called "The Good Book?"

Has the text been modified throughout the centuries?

What about all those prophecies?

Written by a linguist, ex-fundamentalist graduate of Liberty University, this book goes straight to the evidence and presents a concise case-by-case analysis of the most salient problems in the Christian Scriptures. With insightful commentary concerning frequent rebuttals used by apologists, it makes a solid case against evangelical claims to inerrancy.

This second edition has a much improved third chapter, providing several more examples of scribal changes to the New Testament, as well as a completely new section on textual differences in Greek manuscripts.

Incredibly great points so well explained

This book explains .. so well ...many ideas facts arguments that I can't wait to talk/debate a few apologetics. I'm definitely going to be much better armed with facts and real life comparisons and thousands of examples of what's wrong with the bible. This book brings up so many examples of stuff I never noticed or thought of or read in other books like this one

All the Reason I am now Agnostic

The author rips the covers off of the bible revealing the true ugly true essence of "the word of god." Such man-made lies have corrupted human relations, especially between females and males. I believe the canons of the bible was written by ignorant fearful primitives who feared what they did not understand about nature and the dynamics of human relations. We don't need imaginary spooks to be kind and decent humans.

Perfect!

A perfect rebuttal to thousands of biblical absurdities. (Thousands in the biblical sense, heh heh). Master Jonah's bible of biblical flaws exposes the Christian Scriptures for their inherent contradictions amidst the blaringly blind propaganda of their supposed inerrant cohesiveness.

Connor is Not Great

Dull. An inventory of inconsistencies in the Bible. Doubtful that it contains ALL of them. Doesn't really cover anything new. We knew all this stuff already...or should have. Connor basically lays out some of the findings that caused him to leave the Christian faith. OK. Fair enough. But not very interesting for the rest of us. We know that the flaws in the Bible are there and that they don't matter to the devout. And, also, the narrator sounds like he is preaching to us. That's not entertaining either. Tough to find much to like here;
