I haven’t laughed so hard in FOREVER!

I adore Alan Cumming and this does not disappoint. It IS a stage performance with singing, stories and comedy, so there are a few sight gags that the listener may only get in their imagination, but Alan paints such vivid pictures that I didn’t miss them.

Not What I Expected, But So Entertaining

To be honest, If I had known what this was, I would never have bought it, but I'm so glad I did. I expected a personal memoir. What I got was pure entertainment. This is a musical celebration of life, love and being exactly who you are. I found myself singing along and dancing in my seat. Considering I was listening while I worked, I suspect I left a few coworkers terribly confused.

If you are looking for an audible book, this is not what you are looking for. If you want pure entertainment, this is it.

What's Not To Love!

Since Alan Cumming blew me away back in the 90's in his Broadway performance in Cabaret, my love affair with him has never strayed. I would imagine, however, that if one hasn't seen Mr. Cumming on stage one might not appreciate this live performance to the fullest. So, yes, you should feel that you've missed out on one of life's great treats. He has a full range of acting talents funny to poignant and he can sing sweetly and he can belt with the best of them too. He brings life to everything he does on stage. Let's admit it. The man's a genius. He's charming, lovable, witty and oh so naughty. However, I missed not seeing his sweet, impish, expressive face but I had my memories and it all came to life. Song selections are wonderful and the monologues even better. The immigration theme is timely and oh so accurate. We live in sad times. So thank you, Alan Cumming, for cheering me up.

Love this man

Just happened to come across this and so glad I did. I always have enjoyed Alan Cumming on The Good Wife and other shows but have never heard his recordings. So glad I did as I laughed while driving and in the office. He is a truly great entertainer and highly recommend this listen.
