Publisher's summary

A bewitched prison. A brother with a deadly request. Can a magical baker launch a jailbreak and still keep her prince in the process?

Imogen’s magical bakery is thriving and she loves the company of the Water Kingdom’s dashing prince. But she’s not so enamored with the time she’s forced to spend with his awful royal family. She also can't help but worry that the increased media scrutiny could reveal her secret contact with the royal family’s sworn enemy: her own brother.

When her sibling shows up and demands Imogen spring his cronies out of jail, she flat out refuses. But when he threatens to hurt the ones she loves the most, she balances her allegiance to the prince with her plan for a covert prison break. Can Imogen keep up family appearances and avoid betraying the kingdom or will her pie-in-the-sky scheme become a recipe for disaster?

Airships, Crypts & Chocolate Chips is the sixth stand-alone book in a clever paranormal cozy mystery series. If you like crafty witches, charming romances, and fabulous French settings, then you'll love Erin Johnson’s enchanting adventure.

thoroughly entertaining

I read this last year and was able to listen it to it to recently. I found the narrator/reader Hannah Somerville brings this to life. I love the sound effects & different voices and accents. She enhances the author’s work. I love how this series just pops with the narrator's interpretation of the words.

We have plenty of reveals concerning Horace, the royal family and how those secrets impact Imogen and the Water Kingdom.

The characters are wonderful (even the ones you want to hate). The author’s imagination is amazing. This is a well written, cleverly plotted story.
The ending just might surprise you. These are standalone stories but you will get more enjoyment buy listening to them in order.

This ending!!

Whoa!! As the 6th book in this series I knew this would be good, but not this good!! Brother Horrace comes back into the picture...and not in a good way....or is it?! This entire book left me in the edge of my seat. Soooo good! The main question is, why isn’t this in movie production yet? Lol can’t wait to see what happens next!

I received this for free in exchange for my honest opinion

Another fun listen

Imogen has been keeping secrets from her friends and from Hank. Before she can come clean, Horace shows up, complicating matters further as he forces Imogen and the other bakers to take on a dangerous assignment that could lead to their imprisonment or worse....their death. If they come out of it alive, will Hank forgive her or will his side with his family?

Another Great Installment!!

Let me start by saying that this is an awesome series to get into! I absolutely love it. I enjoy this series so much that after life dumped a harsh blow to my family towards the end of last year and knocked me off my listening and reviewing stride until recently, this is the book I chose to get me back into the swing of things. It's totally entertaining and the characters are completely lovable while being a riot to listen to. If you haven't given this series a chance then you really, really should. It's a wonderful listening experience that helps to lift you out of a bad mood. I cannot recommend this set of books enough. The narration is wonderfully done as well. Hannah Somerville really brings the story and characters to life to totally immerse the listener in a great adventure.

I would also like to say thank you to Erin Johnson for her understanding and patience in regards to my reviewing. She has been wonderfully understanding towards my situation and hasn't pushed for me to hurry up and post my reviews of the books she has graciously allowed me to have codes for. She's not only an awesome writer and storyteller but truly beautiful person as well. Thank you Erin!

Now what are you waiting for...get this book and start listening to continue the grand adventure or pick up the first one and start enjoying a refreshingly creative new world to lose yourself in!

Jail Break and Magic

Book six in the Spells and Caramels series finds Imogen happy with her bakery duties, friends, and especially her relationship with Prince Hank. Then her brother, Horace, shows up and demands that she break into kingdom’s prison and break out two of his accomplices. If she refuses, Horace promises consequences to her friends that she can’t risk. Of course, her friends won’t allow her to go into this alone. It’s scary and dangerous, and it might bring about the end of her relationship with Hank.

This is an interesting and original book. The action is perfectly paced, and the relationships just keep improving. The writing is excellent.

The narration is near perfect. Ms. Somerville gives it her all and brings the characters to life, delivering the necessary emotions all along the way.

I highly recommend both the book and the series. It won’t leave you wanting.

I received a free code for this book from the author. While I appreciate her generosity, it had no effect on this review. All opinions in this review reflect my true and honest reactions to reading this book.
