About this listen

Parker tries to help an old family friend and is caught up in a deadly mix of terror and kidnapping. Opie Taylor returns to help Parker and brings along a new friend, a young, Puerto Rican, mixed martial art master named Gabriel Condore. Along with the old friend, Parker, Taylor and Gabe battle a suspected drug cartel from Miami trying to free the beautiful kidnap victim. All this takes place in the teeth of an on-rushing hurricane that is determined to rip Florida from the map.

A great and unexpected adventure.

What made the experience of listening to Aikido Anejo the most enjoyable?

This is such a fun book. At first you think it's a standard PI adventure - but it goes in directions you never expect, and you really care what happens next. Great book!!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Well it has to be Parker - he's a classic tough-guy private detective, but he's got a soft spot for old people and animals. He doesn't take himself too seriously, and he's a hero!

What about Steve Marvel’s performance did you like?

He really captured each character and brought them to life. Each one was so different - I forgot it was one person narrating and just got lost in the story. His voice and style is perfect for this genre - really adds flavor.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I definitely would have listened in one sitting if I could. I listened to it in the car, and often found myself sitting in the driveway, to get to the end of the chapter... tempted to sit and listen to the next chapter as well!

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed this book immensely. I'll be looking for more by this author and this narrator.... guess I'll have to start at the beginning. Hope it has both Niko and Grindle.

Enjoyable Listen!

Any additional comments?

This is my second Aikido, Parker Mystery book. I listened to the first book and enjoyed it so much, that I wanted to read another. Aikido Anejo (Book 3), did not disappoint.
