Publisher's summary

From the best-selling author of the Supervillainy Saga comes the sequel to Agent G: Infiltrator.

Agent G has left the service of the International Refugee Society, the world's biggest provider of murder for hire, in order to work for the US government. Unfortunately, they are sending him after his former employers, and they know him as well as he knows them.

The clock is ticking, though, until the Society's remaining leadership starts eliminating their opponents and attempts to seize control of the presidency. A traitor is also providing them with all the information they need to survive until their puppet is in power.

Will G and his allies survive the purge?

Sometimes it doesn't pay to be a cyborg spy.

Discovery of Self

Great continuation of the previous book that build upon the discovery of who Agent G really is. There is great self discovery and character growth as Agent G learns how to deal with his new identity and tries to figure out what he is going to do with the limited time he has left.

Entertaining story, well worth the listen

I enjoyed how the second book in the series picks up right where the first left off and smoothly transitions into moving the plot forward. The pacing was excellent and does a great job of setting up the story for another book. I'm looking forward to seeing how the events in this book end up affecting the world of book 3.

Narration by Jeffrey Kafer was excellent as usual. Great pacing, voicing, and character variation. I have yet to be disappointed and will not hesitate to hear more by this narrator.

Badass assassin, fast action

Agent G is back at it again, this time working for the United States government after the downfall of the International Refugee Society, the front for the 26 original “letter” assassins. He struggles with what it means to be human as he continues to be the weapon they made him into because he does it so well. More great dialogue and plot twists keep the story rolling at break-neck speed. The action scenes were fantastic. The plausibility of the black-technology and cyber-enhancements made it so much more than just a spy thriller. This second book definitely has a great Altered Carbon/Bourne Identity feel with plenty of pop-culture nods to all that kind of stuff. The mysteries get more tangled and you wonder who’s pulling whose strings. G wants his limited life expectancy to mean something. There’s more at stake than just money and power. The ending was a jaw-dropper and I couldn’t wait to hit play on the third book.

Again the narration by Jeffrey Kafer was fantastic. His voice lends a perfect feel to the Agent G persona and all the supporting characters. He’s got a confident, well-paced style that keeps the story moving and made me want to just keep on listening.

Damn good!

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I've become a fan of Jeffrey Kafer and C.T. Phipps and have really enjoyed their previous collaborations. Especially the Supervillainy Saga. This one is a great spy/assasin story. The action is so much fun and it still has the snark I've come to love from this author. It's delivered by Jeffrey Kafer's great voice acting skills. Definitely a book I'd recommend for anyone looking for a good action movie of a book.

Phipps and Kafer have done it again!

What an excellent story, and superb narration! This story is so good, I am ashamed that I received it from the narrator for free. If you like the Hitman games, or have ever been interested in the assassin villain in almost any movie or video game, you will enjoy these stories. They turn the idea on its head and flesh the assassin’s story out, making him the protagonist and eventually turning him into the force for righteousness in a bad world turning worse.
Jeffrey Kafer is THE voice in my head for a hard boiled bad ass and by which all others will be measured for me from now on.

Crazy plot twists!

At the end of book one, there was a pretty major plot twist that continues to twist in book two. At the end of the day, you never know who you can trust, and this book was a whirlwind of action and intrigue. Well done story, and excellent narration. Loved it!

Agent story with a different

C.T. Phipps brings Agent G to life. I enjoyed this story because it different to most agent story.

There is some corse language, sex and violence. But in all it’s a good story.

Jefferey Kafer deep voice adds that something to the story. Each character has their own unique voices. I did have the speed on 1.25
