Publisher's summary

I can speak to demons. The punishment is death.

The mission: Put on a dress, pretend to be a lady, and infiltrate the academy of mages to steal a journal from the forbidden archives.

The problem: I’m no mage and I’ve never worn a dress in my life.

But it’s not like I have a choice. My bastard of an uncle basically sold me to a dangerously pretty nobleman, and they can’t pull off this heist without me. Unfortunately, once I fake my way through the entrance exam with a piece of hacked mage tech, and reach the floating kingdom of Reverie, my problems are only just beginning.

Keeping my secret identity is hard enough without a suspicious prince following me around, and the jealous rich girl who wants to marry him threatening me at every turn. But I know I’m in real trouble when my magic sword starts to talk to me. If I can survive the demon attacks, the backstabbing nobles, and the piles of homework long enough, I may discover the source of magic…and if the truth gets out, it will shatter everything.

The Academy of Falling Kingdoms series is a young adult fantasy adventure full of monsters, murder, and romantic intrigue. Fans who enjoyed Rachel Carter’s Black Mage series and Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy will love this sprawling magic academy!

Amazing story!

Of course with any teenagers as main characters the nativity of them can get on your nerves. But, with this storyline you get drawn in and care for the characters I wish the s we rise would continue as the ending felt a bit rushed and there are still a lot of un answered things or you will just want more!

Enjoyable from start to finish.

I enjoyed the characters, the world, and the plot. There are a few things that seem a little wonky at the end, but the whole series is good enough to make me not care. Also, it's probably just my opinion like arguing over which superhero is better.
I recommend it.

Absolutely Thrilling

I have to say with life getting in the way it took a long time to get through this box set, but I loved it. It was captivating and thrilling. I loved her ability to overcome all the challenges she faced and was able to show an abundance of moral standards through out the novels, no matter the challenges she faced. Thank you

great trilogy

loved the story, there's a few things that the editor missed that made some areas of the story contradict itself. overall I loved it though.

Okay

So I felt like the Winter was always thinking about how everything was her fault. I also felt like the relationship with Winter and The prince was forced at the end. Both seemed more like friends than anything. Performance was into character and it kind of sounded like I was listening to a snob read verses a girl that had it hard in life. Also I absolutely hated it when the performer said “Scraps” it just sounded so stuck up. Ending was good and I enjoyed uncle Dorian he was hilarious and so was Luscious.

Action Packed, Nail Biter

The ending of a masterfully imagined trilogy that I wished it hadn't ended. I promise a piece of heart is with this well written series. this last one kept you on the edge of your seat with the mystery, mayhem and wondering what side truly is right and wrong with fine shades of gray. Lucian oh my Lucian had me up in knots and worry. this is an HEA, but could there be more???

Very much worth the credit

They were great books. I did feel that often the MC was whiney or demanding and always saying, this is all my fault. That might have been due to the narration. Maybe a different narrator or reading myself, she wouldn't have sounded like that. But really that's the only complaint I have and I'm sorry to see the characters go.

Great series

This was a great series, and good for all ages. Love how Winter’s character develops though out the story as a thief from the scraps to a mage. There are many twist and lots of action that make the story great! Highly recommend to any looking for an adventure.
