About this listen

The miraculous "Weeping Babe of Brooklyn" goes missing, Sam gets a call, and my vacation goes straight to hell.

"Whoa, now little darlin', you may have work but not having a day off all year makes a man want some downtime."

"What about Sam and Suds?

"Say it slow, like this. Sal-mon suds. Fish? Detergent? Not good."

"Samantha and Suds? Sam and Sebastian?"

"Not the same ring. Admit it, Suds and Sam is perfect."

"Yeah, I suppose we are."

Sam's crazy Italian family is back, and Suds takes them on with his usual Southern charm as he navigates through the holiday season. Will they find the nativity infant in time for Christmas?

Warning: Heated scenes and loads of laughs as this detective duo makes the season bright.

Funny

I found it anti-climactic but it was definitely amusing. There were a lot of funny moments and of course, spicy too.

A Christmas Story?

I am not too sure if I would name it A Subs and Sam Christmas, although there was some of the season depicted in the books.
story line could have been a little more upbeat, a little more detectiness.
will be reading the rest in the series. maybe I'll understand the characters more and edit my review.

Christmas time is here!

We always have the Christmas spirit at my house, so I love to sprinkle in Christmas stories through the year. It's March, it's warm, and it's a good time to listen to one! Suds and Sam run a detective agency and their case is to find the missing weeping Jesus. These two are hilariously funny and the banter will leave you in stitches. At the same time, the steam factor is high, so when we aren't laughing or searching for the statue, there is lots of passion! It's quick and will leave you in the spirit of the season, even in March!

The choice of Simone Gayuma is spot on! She nails the Brooklyn accent and has great comedic timing. A joy to listen to her!

Nice!

I love Stella Marie Alden’s books and this was a great short Christmas story with characters we love. It was somewhat confusing at first but it was funny and sexy. I only wish it would have been narrated by both a male and female to get the full experience. Although the narrator did a great job with voices and inflections.

Laugh out loud Christmas cheer!

I loved this Christmas installment of Suds and Sam! Enjoyed their banter and their amazing chemistry right from the beginning and this book is no different. You get more of Sam's quirkiness and Suds' yumminess. I cant wait for Stella's next book and see what these guys are up to next. The narrator of the audiobook did a great job and was super easy to follow along with her. Definitely a must read, must listen read you dont want to miss out on.

Gotta Love You Some Suds!

This short novel continues the adventures of ex-Seal, now bodyguard turned PI, Suds and his Italian Brooklyn girlfriend Sam. As the holidays arrive and the couple are looking to starting their own PI business with the turning of the new year, Sam takes their first case, a missing wood carved Baby Jesus for the local Catholic parish's nativity. Sam is on the hunt and Suds struggles with the aftereffects of his wartime service and training. Sam's Uncle Vinny, the local mobster steps in as well.

This is a fun romp that tackles a serious issue. You have to fall in love with Suds and Sam's enthusiasm is unbridled. There is plenty of hot steamy bedroom action, but not out of place within the story. The mystery is solved and I liked how the story developed the characters and their relationship to each other.

Simone Gayuma did a creditable job with the narration. Her Brooklyn accents were right on the money and I liked her voice for Suds, Way to go, Sugar.

I will be looking to catch up on the other books in this series.

Suds and Sam

Love this series! Stella is an amazing author. They are my favorite Duo and the love between the two is great! Opposites attract, a southern gentleman in live with a New Yorker. They go on a search for a missing nativity. Guaranteed to be a great short story.
