Publisher's summary

Saving the farm and their families.

Tarek is an orphan who has spent his youth trying to wrangle his siblings. It’s a hard job, but he’s desperate to make a better life for them - even if it’s at the cost of his own happiness. But when a local farm owner catches his eye, Tarek is soon fighting for his identity against his obligations.

Jeffery always stood in his father’s shadow, until the day that shade was no longer cast. Left with just his mom, he’s trying to manage the farm in a way that would make his father proud. It’s not until a newcomer needing a goat steps into his life that he sees a light at the end of the tunnel.

With so much on the line, will Jeffery and Tarek take advantage of the unspoken spark between them? Or will it fade beneath the demands of their efforts for others?

OK

I decided to listen to this book because I needed a short read and, while I enjoyed it, I felt there could have been more. The narration was good but there were some technical glitches interrupting the flow of the story.

A bit different

It had an interesting twist that I think would have benefitted with a longer story but overall it was a quick enjoable listen with a good narrator though there were a few tech issues.

Enjoyable

I loved it! It was fun to listen to a story that has to do with farming as well as a great romance. I really like Peter Styles!

Good story - poor audio edits

This is a cute story. However, the audio needs to be edited as there are several things that repeat and there a a couple jumbled lines too. It was disconcerting to have that break in the story and then hear the repeat of words phrases or sentences.

Emotional Short Story

The narrator did a wonderful job with this story.

I was pleasantly surprised with the depth of emotion that the author was able to get across in such a limited amount of words. It was frustrating to witness the MC's working so hard to care for the people in their lives with little to no regard to their own happiness.

All over a goat

Who would have thought that a goat would or even could bring two people together. Will in this story it is exactly what happens. And whilst it’s not smooth sailing the story still is enjoyable and it does eventually have a HEA.
There are some minor audio edits in the book.

enjoyable - if short

Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Were there any parts I found annoying: no
Did I feel an emotional connection to the characters: yes
Would I listen to it again: yes

Good story with real life issues, good pace, and entertaining characters. I would have liked this one to be longer, Peter Styles writes a wonderful story of two men with so much on the line finding their way to what really matters.

Harrison Richards is a new narrator for me, I found him easy to listen to and he enhanced the audio experience.
There are a couple of duplicate phrases in the audio that need editing out, but weren't enough to pull me from of the story.

IT’S EASY TO BLAME YOUR PROBLEMS ON SOMEONE ELSE

I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review

A good story of how religious beliefs affect the lives of different people. A loving family can go a long way as in the story of Jeffrey and Tarek. Filled with a little danger and angst – a story to read.

I think the narration would have been perfect if not for the repeating of phrases and glitches in the reading of the story.
