The Authenticity of Emotions

I’m only on the 4th Chapter and had to express how beautiful this book is. I have over 500 titles and none have ever prompted me to express this joyful, hurtful, honest, exploration of a creative emotion. Now please excuse me I have to hear more!!!!

Very reassuring.

Religious or maybe spiritual if you see it that way. Maybe you will. The 15 word minimum is petty and detracting from my abilities to leave a simple message.

Absolute Gem

I have read and loved “Quiet” by Susan Cain, so I had an idea I would like this as well, I was not disappointed!! This is a wonderful listen, if it were available as a hard copy I would buy it immediately. I have referred it to several people plus my girlfriend and my daughters. Listen, you will be happy you did.

chapter 6 should be a separate book

I listen to chapter six more than once, it is incredible. The defention of love can't be more accurate!. “Every thing that you love, you will eventually lose, but in the end, love will return in a different form.”

so many great lessons! definitely revisting

Although I've enjoyed Susan Cain's books, I was wary at first—thinking this may be a little too self-helpy and hokey for me. But it turned out to be such a fantastic mixture of insights and lessons and various voices. I especially enjoyed the section on a creative life (probably because I'm in the "messy middle" of a writing project currently), and the inclusion of the letter/advice from Susan's editor of 'Quiet' was wonderful and—although not necessarily "new" advice for writers—it felt authentic and valuable hearing him read the words that he shared with her to get her first book to a polished version. Thanks so much for producing this Susan and Audible Studios!

Impossible to listen to

Probably worthwhile advice and content but the background music was annoying and distracting and I had to remove it from my library. Had the reverse effect than intended by the title.
