About this listen
The author addresses many of the attitudes towards how people were treated who were LGBTQ+, long before the acronym was even created. There were many dangers, threats, and constantly living in fear, shame, guilt, and terror of being discovered for who you are. Even though it did not affect the author, personally, there were many LGBTQ+ people who lost their lives, families, and jobs/careers simply for being who they are.
