Tessa established a life coaching practice in 1996, when life coaching was in its infancy. She soon realized that desire, exploration, and awareness did not equate to change and transformation for her clients. She knew she needed a tool to aid her clients in their quest for change. A friend who managed a bookstore suggested a book on EFT Tapping.
She taught ten of her clients how to tap. When every single one of them returned and shared the difference in their lives, she took notice.
About EFT Tapping
EFT Tapping is a scientifically backed, evidence-based self-help tool that combines ancient acupressure with modern psychology to rewrite limiting beliefs, soothe painful emotions, and discard negative habits. This simple, yet highly effective technique empowers us to rewrite our life story, release emotional baggage, and mitigate the underlying cause of our limited beliefs. The elegance of EFT Tapping lies in its ability to reprogram our subconscious where our beliefs reside.
As a life coach, working with hundred of clients one-on-one, day after day, year after year, she learned how to effectively utilize tapping. She learned that clearing an emotional memory was different from clearing beliefs. She learned for EFT Tapping to work, we needed to find and address the underlying cause of an issue.
Three Factors for EFT Tapping to Work:
#1: Must address the root cause, not just the symptoms. If we are anxious, tapping the symptoms will lessen the anxiety, but if we do not also address the fear, hurt, self-pity, and anger, the underlying root causes of our anxiety, we will not heal our anxiety.
#2: Tapping statements must be stated in a language that the subconscious understands to eliminate limiting beliefs and painful emotions. The way we phrase the tapping statement is critical.
#3: The most effective style of tapping is utilized (same statement vs script tapping). What is the objective of the tapping? Letting go of a hurtful event or the limiting beliefs that led up to the hurtful event?
