Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behavior, and psychologists are actively involved in studying and understanding mental processes, including brain functions, and behavior. In fact, the field of psychology is considered a "Hub Science" with strong connections to the medical sciences, social sciences, and education. Human nature is a related concept but nevertheless a bit different, as it denotes the fundamental dispositions and characteristics—including ways of thinking, feeling, and acting—that humans are said to have naturally.

World War II was a global war that lasted from 1939 to 1945, involving the majority of the world's countries—including all of the great powers—forming two opposing military alliances. The major participants threw their entire economic, industrial, and scientific capabilities into the war effort. It was by far the deadliest conflict in human history, resulting in 70 to 85 million fatalities, due to actual battles as well as genocides (the Holocaust), starvation, massacres, and disease.

The most basic definition of music is simply the art of arranging sounds in time through the elements of melody, harmony, rhythm, and timbre. And in fact, it is one of the universal cultural aspects of all human societies. It's performed with a vast range of instruments and vocal techniques, and the common saying "it's music to my ears" underlines the notion that music is quite simply something people enjoy listening to! In every culture, music is an important part of people's way of life.

African American history began in the 16th century, with Africans being sold to European slave traders and transported across the Atlantic to the Thirteen Colonies. During Reconstruction, they gained citizenship and the right to vote, but due to White supremacy, they found themselves soon disenfranchised in the South. These circumstances only slowly changed due to participation in military conflicts of the United States, substantial migration out of the South, the elimination of legal racial segregation, and the civil rights movement.

No one at that time had a clear vision of what the president of a national republic would do, and only the vaguest notion existed when George Washington took the oath in 1789. For nearly 250 years, our elected Presidents have played a role in shaping what the office has become. Thomas Jefferson described the presidency as a “splendid misery,” John Quincy Adams felt it was “harassing,” and Warren Harding said simply, “It’s hell!"

A genius is defined as a person who has remarkable intellectual or creative function, or other natural ability. So, what exactly makes a genius? And what common characteristics do they share?
