But with the help of his close-knit group he prevailed. Life is settling into a familiar routine. And with the help of the US Army, they are starting to rebuild their community. But just when Morgan thinks things are assuming some kind of normal, another surprise lands in his lap.

It’s been a long hard ride for Morgan and everyone. Just when things were starting to look up, the park was attacked, and they lost Bobbie. Danny’s physical wounds were nothing like the emotional loss of Bobbie. It was hard on Mel as well, and the rest of the group also felt the loss. With the attacks on the community becoming a greater threat, they must be dealt with. These attacks must end. But what can the group do against an army with artillery?

With Fred ready to give birth and the revelation that Mary is also pregnant, spirits are high in the community. For Morgan, however, it's just one more thing to worry about. His mom and dad are now settled in and getting to work, but the babies are coming, the milking barn needs to be built, and the power plant must be kept running. Thinking bigger they tackle some major projects that will provide valuable resources. However, there are others out there making plans for them as well.

Charlie is good at her work. As a hard-charging drug rep with the brains and talent to make it to the top, she has the world at her feet. Then, the lights go out, and everything changes. An EMP decimates the United States, leaving the country in the dark. With modern technology suddenly and permanently turned off, society's dark side quickly takes over. Caught on the road, she teams up with two new companions and they fight their way towards safety and freedom. Criminals, gangs, and worse stand between them and the safety of a friend's farm.

The city has become a warzone. Charlie and her companions must survive the gangs and corrupt government agents that are out to stake their claims on the nation’s riches. Months after the EMP crippled the country, Charlie concentrated on survival. Unfortunately, that wasn’t working out too well. Russians and Chinese soldiers were now part of the occupation, while the loss of several of her friends to state sanctioned gangs had pushed her to the edge. It was time to fight back. Combatting a tyrannical government seemed beyond sane, but every journey starts with just one step. For Charlie and her group, that time had come. Retribution was to be meted out and with the help of a growing Resistance, reclaiming the country seemed more plausible by the day.

As the Russian contingent and government tyrants begin to lose power, they turn to bioweapons in their fight against the resistance. Infected mosquitos carrying a modified strain of Malaria are released into the rural water supplies and the results are devastating. Battling a growing Russian military presence along with displaced gang members, the patriots now must suffer the ravages of this ancient disease. Can they survive and more importantly, can they win?
