And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. (Mathew18:5) In this verse, Jesus explains that when you receive a little child in his name, He is the one you are receiving. Every child that walks through your door is your opportunity to prove how you would have pastored young Jesus had he been your sheep. As a pastor, you must inculcate in the children that church is a place where God is worshipped. The earlier we introduce children to God, the easier it is for them to accept Him as real.

Jesus dearly loved children. Jesus had lambs. Jesus had babes. He deeply loved them as part of his precious flock. However, the picture we see today is so different. Children come to church but are either found sitting in a corner playing video games on mummy’s phone or, paying hide and seek in the church, instead of praying. The children in the church today urgently need their own UPPER ROOM experiences. Each generation needs its personal introduction to the Holy Spirit and we need to be deliberate about it. A truly special book written by a special author with a genuine heart for children.
