Peter Pan is a fictional character created by Scottish novelist and playwright J. M. Barrie. The story of Peter Pan retold from the fairy play by Sir J.M. Barrie by Daniel O'Connor. Basically, Daniel O'Connor took the story from the original play, with the approval of Barrie, and shortened it into a book. This shorter book was published before Barrie wrote the longer novel Peter and Wendy using the same plot and characters.

While narrating this delightful audiobook, I was struck by both how similar it is to the beloved stage musical (I've always wanted to play Peter, and this was my chance! - well, without the flying) and also by how much deeper the narrative goes - if you wish it to. It made me think about the joys and losses of growing up, the darker side of children ("gay and innocent and heartless"), the power and depth of parental love, and the secret kisses we all keep inside that only someone special can unlock.
