Most podcasts consist of two or more hosts regurgitating Wikipedia data—with varying levels of creativity.

In Valley Heat, Duguay has created from whole cloth a neighborhood with quirk rivaling Twin Peaks though without (most of) the menace and with Cephalopods Are People as Doug’s Angelo.

Check your wordplay at the city limits and come frolic in the treetops, surf down a mountain, or plunge into a quarry of pure imagination. This podcast will defy expectation.

Don’t do it, Doug!

The main character, who I call “Don’t-Do-It-Doug” has extremely weak boundaries and everyone he encounters trounces those boundaries. He is often taken advantage of, but then he has a story to tell on his podcast. He is completely unwilling to mind his own business, lock his doors, or say “No.” Great cast and storytelling. Laugh-out-loud funny, if not occasionally frustrating as I yelled, “Don’t do it, Doug!”
