  • Why You’re Avoiding Everything (Even the Easy Stuff): Understanding Demand Avoidance with ADHD
    Jun 19 2025

Lately, I’ve been struggling with something I didn’t have a name for until recently - demand avoidance. Tasks that used to feel manageable, like switching laundry or clearing the counter, suddenly feel heavy, frustrating, or impossible. Even the things I want to do are met with resistance, and it’s been hard to understand why.

After doing some research, I realized this is something a lot of people with ADHD deal with, and I’m not alone. In this episode, I’m sharing what I’ve learned about demand avoidance, why it’s been showing up so strongly in my life, and how it often gets worse as we get older and take on more responsibilities.

I’ll also walk you through the strategies I’ve started trying, what’s helped, what hasn’t, and how I’m learning to work with my brain instead of fighting against it.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or frustrated with yourself, this episode is for you. You are not lazy or broken. Let’s talk about what’s really going on and how to move forward with more self-compassion and less pressure.

  • What My Kids Really Think About Summer (And School, Kind Of)
    May 22 2025

In today’s episode, I handed the mic over to two very special (and very opinionated) guests—my 7- and 9-year-old daughters. We talk all about the highs and lows of the school year, their big summer dreams, and why staying up late is apparently the greatest thing that’s ever happened to childhood.

You’ll hear their thoughts on snacks, boredom, pool days, and what moms need to know if they want to keep the peace (hint: more popsicles, less “just a minute”). It’s equal parts hilarious, chaotic, and surprisingly insightful.

If you're a mom trying to make summer magical without losing your mind, this one’s for you.

  • “Just Tell Me What to Do!” and Other Red Flags (Weaponized Incompetence)
    Apr 10 2025

Saying “I don’t know how to do it” isn’t always innocent. Sometimes, it’s strategic. This episode dives into weaponized incompetence—the subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) way people avoid responsibility by pretending they’re just not capable.

We’ll talk about how this shows up in marriages, parenting, and daily life, and why women—especially moms—are left carrying the mental, emotional, and physical load. Spoiler: it’s not because we’re just “better” at everything.

  • How Entrepreneurship is Overburdening American women
    Apr 1 2025

We’re told that entrepreneurship is the ultimate path to freedom, but for a lot of women, it’s starting to feel more like a trap. In this episode, we’re talking about how being your own boss somehow turned into doing everything—and why so many women are burnt out, overwhelmed, and quietly questioning if this is what success is supposed to feel like.

We’ll get into hustle culture, the pressure to be constantly “on,” and how social media’s version of entrepreneurship often leaves out the very real mental load women are carrying.

Whether you're a business owner, dreaming of starting something, or simply feeling the burnout of wearing too many hats, this conversation is for you.
