  • Why You’re Avoiding Everything (Even the Easy Stuff): Understanding Demand Avoidance with ADHD
    Jun 19 2025

Lately, I’ve been struggling with something I didn’t have a name for until recently - demand avoidance. Tasks that used to feel manageable, like switching laundry or clearing the counter, suddenly feel heavy, frustrating, or impossible. Even the things I want to do are met with resistance, and it’s been hard to understand why.

After doing some research, I realized this is something a lot of people with ADHD deal with, and I’m not alone. In this episode, I’m sharing what I’ve learned about demand avoidance, why it’s been showing up so strongly in my life, and how it often gets worse as we get older and take on more responsibilities.

I’ll also walk you through the strategies I’ve started trying, what’s helped, what hasn’t, and how I’m learning to work with my brain instead of fighting against it.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or frustrated with yourself, this episode is for you. You are not lazy or broken. Let’s talk about what’s really going on and how to move forward with more self-compassion and less pressure.

  • What My Kids Really Think About Summer (And School, Kind Of)
    May 22 2025

In today’s episode, I handed the mic over to two very special (and very opinionated) guests—my 7- and 9-year-old daughters. We talk all about the highs and lows of the school year, their big summer dreams, and why staying up late is apparently the greatest thing that’s ever happened to childhood.

You’ll hear their thoughts on snacks, boredom, pool days, and what moms need to know if they want to keep the peace (hint: more popsicles, less “just a minute”). It’s equal parts hilarious, chaotic, and surprisingly insightful.

If you're a mom trying to make summer magical without losing your mind, this one’s for you.

  • When Healthy Eating Becomes Unhealthy
    May 1 2025

We all know eating healthy is important — but what happens when it goes too far? In this episode, I’m talking about the ways healthy eating can actually turn unhealthy without us even realizing it. We’ll chat about the pressure to eat "perfectly," the warning signs to watch out for, and how to build a healthier, more balanced relationship with food. If you’ve ever felt stressed, guilty, or overwhelmed by food choices, you’re not alone — and this conversation is for you.
