Shadow Scrying: How FNaF Displays The Horror of Living In A Fantasy

  • Resumen

  • There is much to fear in the world of Five Nights at Freddy's, beyond the psychopathic William Afton. In the world of FNaF, there exists horror in every crack and crevice, and the most horrifying monsters may be the ones we see in the mirror every morning.

In this episode, we will be analyzing the stories in the recent Tales From The Pizzaplex in an attempt to dissect deeper meaning that can be extracted from them. Are there any lessons to be taken from the stories of Help Wanted, Somniphobia, or B-7? The only way to find out is to read between the lines.

Willful Blindness

As a Sanders Sides fan, the concept of willful blindness is always associated with Deceit in my head. In Sanders Sides, the mental health series on YouTube created by Thomas Sanders, the character that represents Thomas’ capacity for deceit hides the existence of the ‘dark sides’ or negative traits from Thomas. This shows the concept of lying to yourself. Denying your own flaws in the hope you are a good person, and what you are doing is good.
