The emotion is some of these character dialogue moments is just so palpable and realistic. I love Kore and Roosters relationship and how much they care for eachother. This podcast makes me extremely happy and I love listening to it at ungodly hours of the night. :33 Kore and Rooster share one brain cell and Kore has it 90% of the time lmao. Also I love Nelly. He’s so silly :DDD

Help I finished the podcast and couldn’t find anything else to listen to so I’m just re-listening to it bc why the heck not

That little shake in the voice when Kor (I dunno if that’s how you spell it-) says he can’t kill Rooster was so good I forgot for a moment that this was dnd. The emotion. Absolutely ADORED it.

Wasn’t sure about the reader at first, but quite liked her.

I was a bit tentative when i realized the reader wasn’t Mcloud Andrews, since he usually reads these books, but I quite liked this reader. She occasionally mispronounced some stuff, like at some point she called Ivypool just Ivy, but she was good.

The story was great. I loved the extra world building and the way they didn’t bring bristlefrost back fully but at the same time gave Ivypool closure and has her at least exist somewhere. I also liked the extra characterization of side characters like Whistlepaw and Icewing.

Willful Blindness

As a Sanders Sides fan, the concept of willful blindness is always associated with Deceit in my head. In Sanders Sides, the mental health series on YouTube created by Thomas Sanders, the character that represents Thomas’ capacity for deceit hides the existence of the ‘dark sides’ or negative traits from Thomas. This shows the concept of lying to yourself. Denying your own flaws in the hope you are a good person, and what you are doing is good.

Nick, the sarcasm you put in the random remarks about bits you don’t like or think are not very smart, have almost gotten me caught listening to the podcast at three in the morning because I’m laughing so goddamn hard. Keep up the good work!

Chlythrophobia?

In this episode, Nick says this one character has what he calls Chlythrophobia. Nick says it’s the fear of small spaces. My dad has that, and he, along with every other source I’ve looked at, call it Claustrophobia. I dunno if Nick like- accidentally mispronounced it or the actual book gets it wrong but- yeah. Not Chlythrophobia, Claustrophobia. Even my damn autocorrect doesn’t recognize Chlythrophobia, but it recognizes Claustrophobia. However I might’ve just spelt it wrong-

I detail it more in another review on the podcast, but I DID let the FNAF franchise become my whole being around a year and a half ago. I genuinely believed I was a “psychopath” and “liked murder” so much so it became my entire personality. My parents and best friend are the only reason I broke out of that mindset. My parents banned me from FNAF for a while until I got better and my best friend called me an attention seeker. It took a while after to get better, and I’m still working on keeping me grounded in reality, but I am much better now. I didn’t really pay attention to the Tales books at that time, so I didn’t ever read B-7 to warn me away from that kind of thinking. I’ll bet if I had read B-7 before that whole ordeal I would’ve been a lot better.

Absolutely love this podcast, I’ve pulled multiple all nighters listening, first, now let’s get into my statement about this episode. Me personally, I LOVE Fazbear Frights book series, but I also LOVE the game canon. This might be the FNAF Gacha kid in me, but I REALLY like both game and Fazbear Frights books canons. I think it’s can be good to just have this alternative universe that does its own thing with the same world laws. Another thing I’d like to point out, I also really like B7, because I.. wouldn’t say relate, but feel my old mental state has some similarities. In my head only a year and a half ago, I genuinely thought I was “insane” and “liked murder” etc. because I liked FNAF and William as a character. The only reason I got out of that “murder is ok” mentality was because my parents banned me from the franchise for a while. Even now I still occasionally slip into that violent mentality. Although I was probably delusional before, FNAF kinda amplified it. (I’m much better now, and it definitely wasn’t as bad a situation, but still.) They definitely got worse before they got better, but they DID get better. B-7 really makes me think how lucky I was my delusions didn’t escalate as much as they could’ve. With what Nick says about Billy’s disorder in the B-7 shadow scrying episode, I also believe my mother figure (aka my best friend, don’t read into that) calling me an attention seeker was what really broke the delusion. It took a while for that to fully break the delusions, again I still slip back into those habits and delusions occasionally, but thinking back on that one sentence usually brings me back to reality. The way they handle that concept in B-7 is just really well done. Another small similarity is that my mother figures nickname is Vera, like Billy’s mother. Odd, innit? Just my thoughts on the episode, sorry for the little rant.
