Fun cast bringing P&P to life!
This was such a fun way to bring a free Pride and Prejudice to Audible. I enjoyed it so much better with a cast of voices than if it had been just one voice recording the whole book. Even the credits at the end of episodes were often a treat with added silly fun, especially after the last few episodes!

Great fun
I greatly enjoyed this podcast of P&P in episodic form. Clearly a work of love, it features some fine vocal performances and an interesting combination of textual narrative and dialogue. The lead players are excellent, including those portraying Elizabeth, Darcy, Mr. Bingham, Mr. Collins, and Mr. Bennett. Nice small aural touches include background sounds such as of teacups clinking or a clock ticking during drawing room/parlor scenes, or faint countryside/barnyard sounds during outdoors ones.
There are a few small quirks about it that make the listening experience sometimes a little uneven. For one, the sound levels vary considerably between the spoken narration, certain performers’ voices, and the opening and closing announcements; I had to keep adjusting the volume at periodic intervals. Further, a few of the performers—notably, those depicting Mrs. Bennett and George Wickham— speak oddly deliberately, as if reading their lines carefully and slowly rather than inhabiting the personage.
One additional small performance-related oddity: the performer voicing Charlotte Lucas sounds like she's a 15-year-old, rather than a woman considered on the verge of what was then considered spinsterhood.
One very special touch are the sometimes funny and chatty, sometimes poignant statements at the conclusion of each episode. Performers send best wishes to listeners, and hopes that they are bearing up and doing well during the pandemic, as the recording was prepared during the height of COVID.
Overall, fine entertainment, presented with wonderful spirit and talent.

Absolutely loved every bit of this podcast. I also loved the added bits at the end. I would definitely listen to any other Jane Austin podcast from this group.

Wonderful and entertaining
Some of the voice acting seems a touch overdramatic or over pronounced but maybe it is due to the dramatic characters or regional inflection of the time. Love it this story, wish it were longer!

Thank you so much!
What a beautiful gift! It was wonderfully entertaining. To me, each episode captivates my total attention, I had to stop what I was doing to pay my full attention to every sound, it transported me to the scene, I felt like I was right there walking next to Jane and Mr Darcy. I’m in love with this work of art… I just love it!!!

Perfection
If you are a fan of Jane Austen then you will be most delighted by this exceptional performance.
The full cast do an excellent job in bringing the most iconic characters to life. The listener feels as though they are there!
I know that I will return to this production again and again .

Brilliant & Delightful!!!!
This is a wonderful performance that brings this terrific story to life in an absolutely delightful way! It feels as if the characters are right in the room with you. They explore nuances of different facets of the story in such a fresh, lively manner that it makes it possible to discover new details of this classic! Not to be missed!
