Cool concept, extremely boring first episode

The concept was interesting to me, I love the idea of this tabletop game. But my god, this is a slog. I'm an hour in, about halfway through the first episode. It has all the excitement of watching a small group move into a dorm. They spend SO MUCH TIME on uninteresting minutiae. An hour in and nothing has actually happened yet, but I know what kinds of breakfast foods the characters enjoy, and which dorm rooms they're going to be living in. In other words, an hour in and there is no plot. I'm half expecting the next hour to be following the characters as they shop for socks, or do some chores.

And that Grey guy is super annoying. Even with all the boring minutiae, this episode would be a lot better without him. Seems like the kind of player who likes to throw a wrench in the spokes just to make life harder for the DM.

On top of all that, it seems that the players won't even be superheroes in this superhero game. They're players playing regular people who will be playing a superhero video game.

I'm going to push through this episode, but if nothing interesting happens, I won't move on the episode two.
