Making friends as an adult is hard. It's tough to find your people and a strong sense of community IRL even though we are more connected than we’ve ever been thanks to social media. So how do you approach finding new friends out in the real world?! After two and a half years of planning and preparation for transitioning to full time life on the road, we knew that our first few weeks would be memorable, but nothing prepared us for how those first few weeks turned out. Join me as I share the story of the most hilarious, chaotic and magical first two weeks on the road. Starting in Pheonix, AZ we race across the American West as temperatures rise well into the 100s… with no air conditioning… in a van built in the mid 80’s. What could possibly go wrong as we take our friend from Germany on a “classic America road trip”?! Though the trip was filled with misadventures, it was also filled with lessons that we carry with us to this day.
