201 – Stephen King & Touching Other Worlds

  • Resumen

  • Send us a text Stephen King is back! What other intro do you need? Okay, fine. He talks to me about the stories behind the stories in his new collection, You Like it Darker. I had the audacity to ask him “where he got some of his ideas.” He also updates us on the potential of a third Jack Sawyer book, to follow The Talisman and Black House. He hints at what’s next from him, and Holly Gibney. He gives a perspective on his view from the top of the horror pyramid, and I finally get to ask him about a beloved-yet-underappreciated novel. Is that enough for you, or do I need go on? Thought not… Thanks for listening – and enjoy. Honest and Interesting

Great interview with King and one of my favorites is also From A Buick 8. Keep up the casts.

Excellent Conversation with the Master!

I heard about "Talking Scared" from Simon and Schuster's newsletter featuring King and thought I'd give it a try and I'm happy to say I'm glad I did! Host Neil McRobert has an absolutely splendid conversation with master of horror Stephen King. This was Neil's second time having King on his podcast. The dialogue between McRobert and King was brilliant and I got to fanboy out on all McRobert's questions that King happily answered.

The two discuss King's latest collection of fiction in this year's "You Like it Darker" (which I loved by the way!). They also talked about a potential third installment to Jack Sawyer's adventures ("The Talisman" and "Black House" that King co-authored with the late, great Peter Straub). McRobert also asked King (like he does every guest) any recommendations and of course King has some. Happy to say that a multitude of those recommendations have ended up on my TBR list and I've finished at least one of them since this podcast released.

Amazing!

Another fantastic interview with horror legend Stephen King! Neil expertly weaves through the many layers that is the Master of Horror. His thoughtful questions brought out a side of King I haven't seen before. A must listen for any true horror fan.
