I can't get over how great this book was! I was laughing out loud and people passing me in traffic wondered what I was doing. The characters were fantastic and hilarious. Margaret was the best character with her sly comebacks. Angus the pup was a cute touch too. Just great, I recommend it highly! Great narration as well.

There wasn't much at all from/about Cal, so I couldn't form a strong connection with him. However, the story worked well being mostly from/about Grace. Very nice & satisfying. :-)

Great story and characters. Xe Sands is my favorite narrator! Loved her “Mom’s fake laugh!” Made me laugh out loud. Definitely recommend!

I am working my way through this author's audible offerings and this one is my favorite so far! This one had me laughing to the point of tears at points it was so good. Grace is a high school teacher of American History and it is truly her niche. In her spare time she reenacts civil war battles with her father! She is the middle sister and with the "ugly duckling" syndrome of the middle sister and losing her fiancee just a couple weeks before the wedding and him now interested in the younger sister, she invents a love interest. If that isn't enough, a hot new neighbor moves in and she mistakes him for a burglar and assaults him with a hockey stick one night and a rake the next and low and behold he just got out of prison. He really is a nice guy who took the wrap for his brother and these two make the best couple. So much snark and bantering I could have listened to this one for days! I highly recommend it.
