Acerca de esta escucha

Technology is exploding exponentially. We are becoming less happy. Max Strom tells you how to get your life, and your happiness, back. Technology has expanded at such a rate that nearly every aspect of our world has been affected - yet there has been no corresponding expansion of personal happiness. Instead, we find that the wealthiest societies of the world have become depressed, anxious, sleep deprived, and over-medicated. Max Strom, author of A Life Worth Breathing and global teacher of personal transformation, reveals that we each have internal, human technology capable of empowering our lives and leading us to deeper levels of happiness. In his new book, There is No App for Happiness, Strom illustrates three imperatives to take back control of our lives. Learn that joy and fulfillment require us to be active participants, not passive viewers. We should not strive for a virtual life - but a life truly lived. There is No App for Happiness helps us to overcome our negative presets and propels us into a new and more meaningful experience of living.

Reseñas editoriales

Max Strom sees a correlation between the two major trends of contemporary life - the rise and predominance of technology and the decline of human happiness - and he urges listeners to self-examine, providing three steps to unlocking their greater potential for a more fulfilling life. Kurt Elftmann gives credibility to his methodology while performing with a gently firm precision that manages to exude a scientific air. There Is No App for Happiness proves its title correct, allowing the listener a chance for greater happiness in this increasingly too-modern world.

Would you try another book from Max Strom and/or Kurt Elftmann?

I would only listen to another Max Strom book if he read it. I was very disappointed in this book by the readers voice and his mechanical reading. After listening to Max's first book, A Life Worth Breathing,(highly recommend) where I found his voice soothing, like a good yoga class and I was mesmerized. I purchased this book in part because of the way I felt while listening to the book. Whoever is reading this book, SHOULD never be used to read a this style of book, as he elicits a very different feeling. So much so I am returning the book! I could not get past this abrasive, non-emoting voice! It is off my list and library!!!!!

What didn’t you like about Kurt Elftmann’s performance?

TOO Mechanical, too fast....no emotion! Dreadful........

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

THE READER WAS DREADFUL!!!!

Not the Voice I needed to hear
