I really wanted to like this book. I've read all of the Nocturne Falls books and a good many of the NF Universe Books and enjoyed them. I just couldn't get into these particular characters and the plot was a bit lame in my opinion.

Not engaging

The style is similar but the book was shorter and lacked editing. If you are going to mention a character is nervous about their clothing several times for pity sake describe the outfit. Also overuse of certain words (lovelorn over and over). The story was decent. I love the narrator. I won’t buy any more nocturne falls that’s not by the original author however. I didn’t feel the story had much at all in terms of substance. More like a predictable novella.

A very weak story line couldn’t wait for it to be over the characters were ok love the narrator and love Kristen painters work this was a big let down for her series wasted my money I don’t write reviews but needed this said
