Acerca de esta escucha

Psychologist Margot Scott has a picture-perfect life: a nice house in the suburbs, a husband, two children and a successful career.

On a warm spring morning Margot approaches one of her clients on a busy train platform. He is looking down at his phone, with his duffel bag in hand as the train approaches. That’s when she slams into his back and he falls in front of the train.

Margot’s clients all lie to her, but one lie cost her family and freedom.

A fast-paced psychological thriller for fans of The Silent Patient.

J P Pomare is the best-selling author of In The Clearing and Trapdoor.

But worth the listen for the last four minutes!

The ending will knock your socks off...it is black hearted and

HOLY COW----AWESOME!!

I half wonder if the author wasn't worried about being predictable so the ending would knock the socks off listeners.

Narration not the best, but not so bad I couldn't power thru.

Predictable

Excellent listen - couldn't stop. Twists upon twists and the ending was so excellent. The reader also did a great job. Bravo - great story!

Could NOT stop listening!

I think most people have encountered the personality types this book relates. Maybe not as extreme, maybe. Knowing is the trick.

Scary good.

I was in the mood for a book that would totally consume me, and was not disappointed. The performance of the reader was excellent, and the book well written. I will look for more from this author and reader!

TOTALLY GRIPPING PAGE TURNER!!!

You'll think you know how it will end - but you will be surprised. The story kept me on the edge of mt seat the whole time. Highly recommended

This was so good, especially for free! I loved the narrator, and the story had good twists and turns.

The story is good but predictable.
The performance is good. The narrator has a pleasant voice The main character is so unlikable. I’m glad it was an Audible original at no extra charge.

Good story, predictable,

At least bad books leave a mark for more than a week or two. This one? The most memorable thing I'll take away is the pronunciation of bibimbap. Which I'm pretty sure I'll forget before I finish typing the review.
There was nothing glaringly wrong - or fantastic - about it. The story, not the pronunciation.
Though I do have some issues with tropes, redherrings that were poorly placed, and a lack of clues that lead the twist to being a twist.
What I assume I was supposed to be surprised by left me feeling like, "Oh, that kinda makes sense. BUT I didn't have any info that linked that to the story. So I guess we'll keep going then?" The ending where - I think - it's supposed to also be a twist I had suspected from the first couple chapters. And how you - and the MC - come to this "twisty" conclusion is unrealistic at best and makes absolutely no logical sense how she gets the papers. That's not a spoiler, you'll see what I mean.
I'm torn between thinking the author must've assumed their readers were spectacularly stupid, or that they had written a thin plot they thought was a twisted up masterpiece. In either case, it didn't do it for me.
The narrator took some time for me to get used to, but she was okay once I got into her rhythm. Again, not spectacular, but not terrible either.

Nothing short of totally forgettable (no spoilers)

This story was well written and well narrated.
The one flaw that did deeply disappoint me was that the protagonist wasn't much more logical or disciplined than the idiot teenagers in slasher films.
It seemed like she made the wrong decision every time she had to solve a problem.
Other than that characterization, Tell Me Lies was a strong, interesting story.

Not-so-bright Shrink!

Wow.....What and ending! I honestly didn't see that coming. Kinda makes you think how many are out there.

Nice twist
