This is a great introduction for anyone interested in sailing. It is written and narrated by the author whose love of sailing and interesting talking points whisk the reader away on a mental sailing vacation with each chapter. Highly recommend!

As a complete novice I found every sentence of this book useful. Could not recommend it more for anyone considering learning to sail. It does a fantastic job of explaining nuts and bolts of what to do after you have learned to sail.

Quick listen. This book helped me understand the sailing lingo and get a general overview of sailboat systems. It left me wanting to delve deeper into everything and not be intimidated. The narrator sounds reassuring and made me feel like I can do it too. I highly recommend this book as a good first step for everyone who is considering chartering or owning a sailboat.

Wished we had this available before we bought our first sailboat. Being beginners, we learned the hard way. Still, this wad a great refresher as well as filled in some gaps! Sail on!
