Grisly corpses. Odd occurrences after dark. Can he nail a killer with a baffling M.O.?
Tsalagee, Oklahoma. Deputy Sheriff Cal Bluehorse isn't sure if unexplained lights in the sky over protected Choctaw land fall under his jurisdiction. But he definitely has his hands full when the same land surfaces a mutilated body missing organs and drained of blood. Battling the semi-hostile clan’s resistance to any investigation, the frustrated deputy’s work gets complicated when he uncovers a massive drug operation hidden among the vast ranch lands. And with few suspects, more hacked-up victims, and now gruesomely mutilated cattle showing up, the beleaguered lawman desperately needs a result before the fields start running red...
Can Bluehorse catch a deadly dismemberer before he loses life and limb? Murders of the Sixth Kind is the gripping second book in the Legends of Tsalagee mystery series. If you like complex characters, dark humor, and hints of the supernatural, then you’ll love Phil Truman’s twisted tale.

MURDERS OF THE SIXTH KIND
by
PHIL TRUMAN
A REVIEW BY ROBERT W SCHRADER
This story begins with the report of someone or something, killed a gnome.
A visit to Tubby Land puts the deputy up a tree. Two Dobermans stand their ground, leaving the deputy with a choice of falling, sitting on his tree limb, or being eaten by the dogs.
His dilemma continues – space aliens enter the story. Maybe! A Tall blond with a shimmering blue jumpsuit
"Murders of the Sixth Kind" is an excellent story with fascinating characters, twists, turns, and rapid changes. Sergeant Call Bluehorse’s Uncle White is determined to be the Gnome killer, but another dead body draws the Chief Deputy’s attention; a mutilated body.
The alien (?) enters the story wearing a shimmering blue jumpsuit. Gnomes accompany the tall blond. The alien desires an ancient object buried under the Tubby Land barn.
The author has Gangsters named after missing body parts. For example, the Federal Witness Relocation program placed a gentleman named Two Toes in a cabin at Tubby Land. Two Toes think gold is buried on the property next to his rental house. Tubby Land owns both properties. Tubby discourages visitors but likes his exciting renter.
Bright lights attract others to the area. The lead sergeant and his deputies investigate an unusual UFO chase and the author gives new meaning to "Murders of the Sixth Kind".
Step, the dog, may have been an average dog, but his owner, the Pistol Packing Crazy lady, a Vietnam veteran with medical training, doesn't play with a full deck of card according to the neighbors.
Pistol Mama has seen the light from the UFO.
UFOs, gold, and drugs intertwine. Lust or perhaps love, connects the only female deputy and the independent investigator of UFO sightings.
Ted Amos Tubby is the leader of the Tubby Land Clan. Ted Amos runs off white men and everyone else but makes a deal with the drug dealers.
The temporary Coroner, a local doctor, works by the hour. And he was getting lots of business, human and bovine.
Murders that aren’t! UFOs, people and cattle mutilations, gangsters named after missing body parts, drug dealers, and hidden gold, challenge an equally challenged Sheriff and his deputies.
"Murders of the Sixth Kind" is a fascinating story with strange characters, twists, turns, and rapid direction changes. See how everything comes together by listening to the rest of Phil's unreal story.
I like the author’s yarn. You will like it too!
