Good Intro to Basic Yoga

I am not a devoted yogi, but I used this as an introduction to yoga practices and got some great use out of my yoga mat. Though sometimes having a yoga block would have been helpful, most of the sessions do not require any gear other than yourself and your yoga mat.

Downward dog was a standard position that is used in every session, but it's one of my least favorite moves, so I wish there was more variety to some of the moves implemented. However, there are differences in session style (core focused, balance focused, etc.) and exercise leader, so you can gravitate towards different sessions based on what speaks to you. Standard session lengths vary between 20-25min long, and since I could not do a session every day, with 25 sessions I was able to space this out and get a lot out of the collection over time.

I would recommend this to those who enjoy yoga regularly and those who are trying it out for the first time. It worked for me, and I will be keeping my eye on further MoveWith series/collections. For free on Audible to paying members.

From Beginner and beyond

I started doing this book 2 years ago and added the next volume into my repetoire in the last year. I had never done yoga before this book. I had a surgery on my ACL and it had been a year and my recovery was still not where I wanted. I had a friend tell me that Yoga was good for strength building and balance for post recovery. I started doing these exercises daily and at first I had to constantly stop to look up different poses and such. But with consistency, I have learned to love yoga and its plethora of benefits. I am amazed at how yoga has helped me recover in a way my PT exercises were not. It is a challenge for someone who has never done yoga to do it over the air waves but I really appreciated the portability of always having it with me and not always straining to look at a screen but rather learning to visualize it on my own and figure it out. I like almost all the teachers. It is a great program.

Easy and fun way to practice at home

My 2020 New Year's plan is to make yoga a bigger part of my weekly life and this series offers a variety of relatively short sessions that keep it fresh and fun . For the past 5 years I've attended a once-a-week class with an amazing teacher. I've always meant to bring my practice home and now I have. I've added a meditation and breathing section before each practice, as we do in the weekly class, If you're new to yoga, and unfamiliar with the poses and sequences, it will be really hard to follow along. But if you're somewhat familiar, I highly recommend this series. You can always pause and Google a pose you're not sure about.

I am wondering why I didn’t listen to this before. She gives a great morning yoga routine and I will be using it regularly.

This great but....

I wish they offered a version without the cheesy background music. It’s a pretty distracting. That being said, the short sessions are effective and fit in perfectly within my lunch hour.

perfect for a beginner

I have been practicing yoga on and off for a few years. I've taken a few classes in an actual studio but found that because I am a bit larger than most.... size 16 I felt uncomfortable in a studio setting. I have been watching yoga videos but found myself trying to do the poses perfectly so I wasn't focusing on what "I" needed. This audio is perfect. Her voice is calming and encouraging and she walks you through the poses perfectly.

It worked

My mind was bombarding me with thoughts, questions, scenarios. Yoga is the best antidote to that, and this was especially good. Even when I started, my mind was wandering, but it's a gradual process. You'll end up present in spite of yourself. :)

I find it so much more pleasant to listen than to watch and try to copy yoga. This series has been such a gift!!! ❤️

Nope

I was pleasantly surprised I knew the possess and was along with the class until left knee lift back leg floor, left foot next to left hand, push ... push what where? Forget it
