One of those reads you don’t want to end. The author and the voice reading it lead you to believe you’re there in the scenes. Perfect for those who love romantic nonviolent love stories that work out in the end. Im eager for the next.

As a POC Queer Woman I’ve been waiting so long for a story like this. A side from the billionaire lover lol, this was a good ole well written, steady paced unfolding Lesbian Love Story. So often book zoom through the plot so fast you already know what’s coming before it arrives. I appreciate the representation of Caribbean culture, blackness, love, struggle, trauma that gets called out and healed, amongst so many other themes in this book. It wasn’t filled with smut but very elegant and REAL love-making scenes.

I feel like I can go on and on but I’d hope you pick up a copy or listen to the audio to find out yourself. I’ve been an avid reader since I was about 10 years old and am now knocking on 40, so I’ve ingested A LOT of books over the years and I’d almost started to believe I either needed to lower my reading standards or accept that maybe people only knew two versions of lesbian love; the ever troped best-friends turned lovers or toxic masc presenting and chaser feminine presenting love tales. I’m so grateful for this author and the person who suggested it to me…. Yes, just YES!

Must read do not do yourself a disservice by only adding it to your TBR or wishlist.
