Acerca de esta escucha

On March 13, 1971, LT Bart Creed, USN launched from the deck of the USS Ranger in support of Operation Lam Son 719, the ill-fated invasion of Laos by ARVN forces. Shot down while strafing an enemy truck on the Ho Chi Minh Trail, LT Creed lay injured and surrounded by enemy forces. Despite heroic attempts to rescue him, the 25 year-old husband, and father of two young children was never recovered. To this day, his fate remains a mystery. This short story based on accounts from the Creed family, and archived historical documents, recounts one of the many tragic mysteries faced by thousands of MIA families from the Vietnam War.

What made the experience of listening to Lost in Laos the most enjoyable?

Enjoyable isn't the word; accuracy is. As the remarried widow of Bart Creed, I am grateful to Greg Skilling for writing the story of Bart's loss in Laos and his attention to telling it in the manner I remember it as well.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Bart, my first husband.

Have you listened to any of Melissa Reizian Frank’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No

Any additional comments?

Gratitude to Greg for writing about Bart and to the narrator who did such a fine job.
