I was entertained by this first book in a new series by this author. I was engrossed from the opening paragraphs until the end as I had to know what was going to happen next. I followed Tim's metamorphosis with bated breath, and I'm curious as to what more changes he will undergo before his journey reaches its conclusion. I was unsettled as this story ended on a cliffhanger, and I can't wait until the next book in the series. I enjoyed Spencer Dillehay's narration as his performance was entertaining. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.

Nick Clausen NEVER disappoints. I am amazed at his mastery and skill as a story teller. “Under the Breaking Sky: The Complete Apocalyptic Horror Series” was pure genius and made me a fan for life. “The Invaders” is another winner, taking the sci-fi/alien genre into an interesting direction. This first book involves you in the lives of several characters, some sympathetic, others not so much, and their physical as well as psychological transformation in light of an epidemic that seems unstoppable. The cliffhanger ending is maddeningly frustrating, but in a GOOD way. I will be first in line to pre-order book two!

Story kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I am so glad I have wireless headphones, I can walk away from my tablet or do other things around the house and continue to listen. I can't stop listening to it.

The book took a few minutes to get going but wow! This was a really good book. it grabs yoi by the arms and drags you onto the story. I already got book, and am listening.

As usual Nick delivers a nerve rattling story that leaves me wanting more. The narrator Spencer always brings the story to life. Can't wait for the next book in the series.

I loved how the story developed. I really liked the story. The characters made me care what happened to them. Great storytelling and I immediately bought part 2!
