I read the insert and it states that each book can be read as a standalone…. It can’t!!! It even says “their story continues in the next installment”🤬🤬🤬🤬

Loved this book and the narration was awesome!
The plot was really good and I couldn’t stop listening to the book!

Story is lacking substance and when the story did pickup it was out of no where. It’s included for now so “free” is fine. I wouldn’t use a credit.
Summerer’s performance good, didn’t care for the female performer.

This book? Devoured in one sitting. Absolutely no notes when it comes to readability—it was smooth, addictive, and hotter than a blow dryer in hell. But here’s where it gets dicey: somewhere between chapter three and “oh look, another spicy scene,” I started wondering if the plot had packed up and left without saying goodbye.

Don’t get me wrong—I’m not afraid of a little literary sin. I live for a well-written spice scene. But when the story starts feeling like a very steamy buffet with zero entrees? I start side-eyeing my phone like, “Girl, are we just doing this now?”

That said, I liked the characters. I felt the potential. I cared just enough to peek over the spice smoke and wonder what this author could do with a little more substance in the mix. So yes, I’m diving into another one—because if she ever balances the burn with the backstory? It’ll be dangerous.

4 Stars – A one-day binge with enough heat to melt my Kindle… but plot? Hello? Are you there?
