Private investigator Dana Cutler and attorney Brad Miller have overcome more than a few daunting challenges and powerful enemies to see justice done. Now wicked threats old and new are about to bring them together once again. Convicted serial killer Clarence Little has escaped from death row in Oregon, and Brad receives threatening messages in D.C., where he is working for Senator Jack Carson, a high-ranking member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. A dead body, murdered according to Little's M.O., is found in the senator's Georgetown home, and Carson has disappeared. While Dana is in Oregon digging into Carson's shady background, a terrorist cell is poised to destroy a packed professional football stadium in one of the biggest attacks on American soil. As the senator's personal life begins to dovetail with the cell's evil plan, Brad and Dana will risk it all again to uncover the truth and save their country.

Reseñas de la Crítica
"A killer follow-up.... Phillip Margolin’s Capitol Murder is like a cold shower - it grabs our attention and gets our adrenaline running." (New York Journal of Books)
"Margolin delivers another slam-bang political thriller.... A nonstop read." (Library Journal)
"The latest, and perhaps best, book by Margolin is like having four books in one... Narrator Jonathan Davis keeps things on track. His deep voice maintains listeners’ engagement, and the detailed nuances he gives to multiple characters make this mystery easier to follow. He's especially adroit at portraying the terrorists." What did you like best about Capitol Murder? What did you like least?
this had a good outline and characters. I have not listened to #1 & 2 as they were recorded in earlier years and I wanted to experience readers' current recording cadence closes to 2014. I thought author spent too much time referring to #1 & 2 and not staying with the story a bit more in-depth. the 3 stories had a lot of information that connects the whole novel, but at times sounded more of an outline. I have more of this author in my wish list due to some good readers.Would you recommend Capitol Murder to your friends? Why or why not?
this is not my genre, I am a core romance listener, but am desperate to hear more of JD voice telling me a story. The characters are great, and book1 & 2 may do better justice to them. Author has a way of spinning a tale and this books' ending did not disappoint. What does Jonathan Davis bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I love JD reading abilities. His 2014 deep cadence in Sandra Browns' Mean Streak, was so great, I have been trying to find other reads/authors that his voice can do justice to the story. JD performance saved this story. JD is his main stream name. I do not know if he has a romance or erotic A.K.A. name, but I would love it if someone would point out that name. i.e.: sean crisen aka dan john miller of Nora Roberts the Pagan stone, hot.Did Capitol Murder inspire you to do anything?
I will keep searching JD reads until I can ID his voice on the audible samples. Dana story may be good as she is tough and smart as a whip. She actually is the glue to this story, not Brad. Book 1 & 2 may showcase Brad more, but you have to buy the books to know.Any additional comments?
ps: Clarance is just plain creepy, but adds to this story. Side note: this is my 2nd read from this author. So far After Dark seems the best story read by Angela Dawe, you will need a tissue.Saved by Jonathan Davis

In the first book of the series, Executive Privilege, I was thoroughly entertained with Margolin's humor and the tension between most of the characters. Here there is the fascinating and mysterious side story of escaped serial killer Clarence Little which seemed more of a convenient "get out of a bind" ploy by the author. Still, Clarence is a master manipulator. His sequences in the tale are still quite riveting.
Jonathan Davis is great as the narrator.
If you liked the characters in Executive Privilege, (I love them!) you'll enjoy this book. The mystery is good as well.

What made the experience of listening to Capitol Murder the most enjoyable?
Though I'm not into legal matters, I like to hear about the maneuvers and intricacies of this field; these books do just that in a very simple and mysterius way.Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Not quite, but I found it interesting. It was a clever spin.Would you listen to another book narrated by Jonathan Davis?
Iam an admirer of his narrating style; however, this was not one of his best. Lethargic would be the way to describe this book's narration.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Surprising and different; I thinkkk the story is quite intriguing.Any additional comments?
The author seems to have another book in mind, but I don't think that should be the ccase. I believe the subject is getting a little thin. On a separate note, what can we do to make the studios understand that the noise at the beginning of the books is nothing but a useless distraction? Not to mention those books where gthey opt to incorporate more noise in between chapters...! Really annoying!Entertaining and interesting.
