Wicked Thorn

Performance: I did not enjoy Kylie’s voice. It was all one volume. Not a lot of emoting. Thankfully Aaron Shedlock can carry the narration. He is wonderful

Story: This a short action packed story with decent steam. It is a prequel, so there are a lot of unanswered questions and minimal world building but I am jumping into the series from here. It did exactly what a prequel is supposed to do get you hyped for the series.

Forever Claimed

Performance: I love Wen’s voice but I did not like the barely there Nordic accent. Commit to it or forget it. Kai did a wonderful job with Laney

Story: I really loved Matthias and Laney’s story. I have listened to the rest of the Blackthorn series and in all those stories the humans stay human. This story was a refreshing change. There is also plenty of spice.

Immortal Promise

Performance: Wen as Brandt and Kai as Clair was a wonderful combination

Story: Clair is such a stubborn strong willed woman and I love it. Brandt at first is kind of an alpha-hole but he comes around by the end. Love the interaction with the witches. Also highly spicy.
