When 13-year-old librianian-in-training Juniper Quill discovers that Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland has vanished, from every bookshelf, every brain, everywhere, she’s thrown into a secret war within the Library of Eternity: the mysterious place where all stories are born, catalogued… or destroyed.

With her eccentric mentor Professor Cornelius Vellum (a disgraced scholar with a suspicious fondness for footnotes), a malfunctioning gadget called the StoryScope, and a frog in a pirate hat named Gregory, Juniper must travel through three collapsing storyworlds - Wonderland, Transylvania, and Treasure Island - to find the lost fragments of the Codex Eternum and stop the rogue librarian known only as The Eraser.

Along the way, she’ll recruit unlikely heroes: Sherlock Holmes, Dracula, Frankenstein’s Creature, Long John Silver, The Invisible Man and even Tom Sawyer (who absolutely does not follow instructions). But as the stories unravel around her, Juniper faces a deeper question:
