boy... I would say finishing this book is hard to finish but it never ends! Confusing. Too much inner dialogue. IMHO the series should have ended a book ago. I tried really tried to finish but I'm done. so many unanswered questions.

Ray porter is the reason I tried these books. Now with the new narrator the voices are all different, the feel is different… I’m trying to finish it because I’m invested but 3 more books after this… I don’t know if I can finish them.

Where does Annihilation rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I am going to rate it in the series. I fell in love with the story and the PRIOR narrator, Ray Porter after listening for a very short time. Ray Porter made the first 3 books come alive. The ability to sit back and listen and just let the story float into your mind was wonderful. THEN book 4 and Kevin Pierce became the narrator...

What was one of the most memorable moments of Annihilation?

The most Un-memorable was Kevin Pierce as the Narrator. Unlike the prior narrator of books 1-3 of this series, you cannot let this story flow into your mind, you have to focus, pay attation and sometimes back up the story because you missed something due to how it is being read. I lost a lot of the story because of Keving Pierce.

How could the performance have been better?

Continued to use Ray Porter. Unless something happened behined closed door that we the listener is unaware of, a great narrator should not be changed in the middle of a series.

Any additional comments?

After listening to the first book and falling in love with the narrator Ray Porter, I used my credits to buy all of the books in the series. BAD MISTAKE.

What happened to Ray Porter? I bought the whole series before I noticed that they switch narrators after book 3. Ray made up for an otherwise weak story. Dirty trick Audible.

They Change the narrator!!

Nothing really happens to move the story along. I knew it was a bad sign that Ray Porter wasn’t the narrator. Ray probably read it once and declined because of sheer lack of interest. Nothing in this series makes any sense. Sadly I’m now on the last book, and I’m dumber for having downloaded it and listened to rest. I kept hoping something would happen and make things interesting. No dice. Do yourself a favor and listen to something more interesting, it’s downhill from this book forward.

Was loving the series until the narrator changed. It went from Ray Porter who is awesome and made the story exciting, to an old man that sounds like he’s selling me orange juice in the Simply Orange commercial. His voice doesn’t match the series and made it extremely lame.

What happened to Ray Porter? Why change narrators when Ray is so good. Kevin Pierce sounds like a shaky old man and can’t do voices for crap. Very disappointed. It’s going to be a very hard choice to move on with this series as much as I have been enjoying it so far.

The new narrator is awful.

Narrator's voice made completing story more difficult than if reading it myself. Once you know a narrator works, be consistent. What was his appeal other than he can read, really. Like videos this.medium is IMPORTANT. Realize this now before it's too late.

Hate narrator. No character distinctions.

An awesome read! I can't wait for Book 5. The narrator for this series really keeps your interest.
