Historia
Our ancestors crossed deserts, mountains, and oceans without even a whisper of what anyone today might consider modern technology. Those feats of endurance now seem impossible in an age where we take comfort for granted. But what if we could regain some of our lost evolutionary strength by simulating the environmental conditions of our forbears? Investigative journalist and anthropologist Scott Carney takes up the challenge to find out: Can we hack our bodies and use the environment to stimulate our inner biology?

very interesting subject line. I wish it had more information about the method, but what can be achieved with the method was very interesting and I have used it somewhat while snorkeling and found it very helpful. I am also pushing myself to do more physically challenging things thanks to this information and encouragement!

August Shroeder, a burned-out teacher, has been sober since his 19-year-old son died. Every year he’s spent the summer on the road, but making it to Yellowstone this year means everything. The plan had been to travel there with his son, but now August is making the trip with Philip’s ashes instead. An unexpected twist of fate lands August with two extra passengers for his journey, two half-orphans with nowhere else to go. What none of them could have known was how transformative both the trip - and the bonds that develop between them- would prove....

Loved reading this, kept my interest
Revisado: 09-04-17
Naration was great, sappy but not in a obvious boring way, it was an adventure in real life you get to tag along on. As the mother of other peoples children I can identify somewhat with the story line, it paints a rosier picture than real life but believable and made me tear up a few times. I enjoyed it very much.

I enjoyed listening to the narrator and the story seemed to be well written but it was I guess a little two deep for me not really sure of the appeal. maybe it's a comment on the humans distain for change.

Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him "the bitter neighbor from hell". But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness.

Historia
Dickens called David Copperfield his "favourite child," and many critics consider the novel to be one of his best depictions of childhood. Set in early Victorian England against a backdrop of great social change, Dickens acutely observed the phenomena of the Industrial Revolution and used them as the canvas on which he painted the novel. Many consider David Copperfield to be the author’s finest work.

interesting storyline
Revisado: 02-03-17
The story was interesting. Timely in that it dealt with bullying, the roll of cellphones and the internet, how they affect teenagers lives and women in more adventurous careers. The different characters were well-defined and easily identified as they appeared back into the story. It kept me interested and entertained even though I didn't find any one charactor especially likeable nor could I identify closely with them.
