Tour de force...get this book asap!
Revisado: 01-02-23
I've been a huge fan of Louise Penny since stumbing upon an audio book of Still Life in 2007. The narration has always been and continues to be engrossing and perfectly paced. I followed the titles with anticipation until I finished them all. Then I joined her other devotees waiting for the annual release of the next literary creation. Penny is a master of her craft and never fails to deliver a thoroughly rivetting tale imbued with keen insight, deep wisdom, an intricate tapestry of complex characters woven amidst deliberate settings, and a keenly engineered plot with a heart pounding, sometimes shocking, denouement. And yet, after the whirlwind of emotion, I am left with a sense of wellbeing, hope, and a conviction that "all will be well." This is a must read!

Historia
The stuff of conspiracy theories makes for great, entertaining stories in movies, books, and television. And there is no shortage of subjects: from who really killed JFK to the truth behind 9/11. And then, there are subjects from alien invasions to the Moon landing was simulated - theories that are truly out of this world, which according to some, is flat. Many of these crazy concepts have jumped off the pages or screens to become so pervasive in our culture that thousands - even millions - subscribe to them as reality.

Logical and enlightening fallacy busting
Revisado: 09-07-22
Michael Shermer clearly and with irrefutable logic unravels baseless and unfounded conspiracy theories while cautioning that some conspiracies are in fact bona fide plots that, if successful, have broad and dire consequences, such as the bungled and then randomly opportune assassination of Archduke Frances Ferdinand which cascaded into WWI. Shermer's explanations reveal an engaging and intriguing cautionary tale about the need for skepticism and critical thinking to suatain a liberal democracy.
