THE HEIRS OF CAHIRA O’CONNOR SERIES - BOOK THREE It is said that as Cahira, daughter of the great Irish king Rory O’Connor, lay dying of a wound from a Norman blade, she lifted her hand toward heaven and beseeched God that others would follow…breaking forth from the courses to which they are bound to restore right in this murderous world… To Kathleen O’Connor, Cahira’s story was nothing more than a legend–until research divulged that the tale was true. Stunned, Kathleen realizes she herself bears Cahira’s mark. Is she destined to continue the legacy? To find the truth, ...

I found the story dark and boring. I quit after 20 chapters. I found the boyfriend pushy and annoying

Historia
Christians know what Jesus Christ has done — but who is he? What is his deepest heart for his people, weary and faltering on their journey toward heaven? Jesus said he is "gentle and lowly in heart." This audiobook reflects on these words, opening up a neglected yet central truth about who he is for sinners and sufferers today.

I never got into any of the characters
Revisado: 01-25-25
From the get-go, the virtual voice was too low for me. It sounded female, but it was too husky. I didn’t like it.
I rarely dislike a book on Audible. So please keep that in mind when I say I found it boring and dark.
The boyfriend was so annoying. The only character I actually liked was his brother.
I just couldn’t continue reading it. I stopped after 20 chapters. I thought why am I going through this? I don’t even like it.

Historia
Every Christian has been sent and empowered by Jesus to heal the sick. The problem is that many of us don't know how to practically complete this task. We either think that miraculous healing has passed away, that the healing ministry is only available to special leaders, or that God simply picks and chooses who he decides to heal. In Power to Heal, international evangelist, teacher, and apostolic voice, Randy Clark, gives you eight practical, Bible-based tools that will help you start praying for the sick...and see them supernaturally healed!

Loved content but could not finish
Revisado: 03-03-23
I’m sorry. I loved the content, but I could not finish because of the narrator. He had a very nice tone, but his intonations were very hard to listen to.
I wanted to finish, but I could only take so much at one time because of the unnatural expressions of the narrator. So I quit.

Couldn't get past narrator chapter 2
Revisado: 05-01-22
I love Lynn Austin, but I just couldn't get over my annoyance of reader number 2. I couldn't focus on the story because of the slothful pronunciations of the words.

Historia
1979 is getting on Piper Penn’s nerves. Struggling to survive past tragedies, she finds comfort in Old Hollywood movies in her native San Francisco. Seeing no reason to adhere to man-made rules after her first-hand look at the ultimate in hypocrisy, Piper does what she wants, and trouble follows. An unexpected inheritance on a tiny Midwest island in the Straits of Mackinac provides an escape. The mandated stay at the island’s glorious Grand Hotel gives her spirits a much-needed boost, especially when she catches the eye of a handsome groundskeeper.

The last line in the story was a great surprise and makes one review Piper’s journey back to her faith.

Being Ethel so enjoyable
Revisado: 03-03-22
I was drawn in from the first sentence. Following Piper through her adventure was so enjoyable. The descriptions of the island and The Grand Hotel made me wish I was there. The story was well written because I cared about each character.
The writer was very creative in her character's expressions and personalities. Fun and funny. I would definitely be interested in more books by this author.
The narration was the best I've heard on Audible.
I would recommend this book to anyone who has been stung by "religious" people. Sister Mary Martha had a genuine love for Jesus and helps the read to understand the steps to getting to know Him and to believe that He truly cares.
