Buyer Beware

The AI voice was okay to listen to but the dialogue timing between characters and sections was off. There was no difference between characters voices so it was hard to follow the narration. I was unaware that it was AI narrated before I purchased it.

Historia
In 1942, Evie Farrow is used to life on Ocracoke Island, where every day is the same—until the German U-boats haunting their waters begin to wreak havoc. And when special agent Sterling Bertrand is washed ashore at Evie's inn, her life is turned upside down. While Sterling's injuries keep him inn-bound for weeks, making him even more anxious about the man he's tracking, he becomes increasingly intrigued by Evie, who seems to be hiding secrets of her own.

Great Book
Revisado: 02-17-23
I really enjoyed this book. My favorite parts were the backstory. I was so intrigued, I skipped through the chapters to find out what happened. Then I went back and listened to the rest of the story. The rest of the story was good but not as compelling. I thought that the author didn’t develop that part of the story as well as the backstory; However it was still a really good book. I hope the author has a sequel planned. The story seems to indicate she does. I love Ms. Whites’s novels. I can’t wait for her next one.
