Historia
The year is 2380. The Intersolar Commonwealth, a sphere of stars some 400 light-years in diameter, contains more than 600 worlds, interconnected by a web of transport "tunnels" known as wormholes. At the farthest edge of the Commonwealth, astronomer Dudley Bose observes the impossible: Over 1,000 light-years away, a star...vanishes. It does not go supernova. It does not collapse into a black hole. It simply disappears.

Historia
The day Fatima forgot her name, Death paid a visit. From hereon in she would be known as Sankofa - a name that meant nothing to anyone but her, the only tie to her family and her past. Her touch is death, and with a glance a town can fall. And she walks - alone, except for her fox companion - searching for the object that came from the sky and gave itself to her when the meteors fell and when she was yet unchanged; searching for answers.

Historia
In the far reaches of the solar system, the outer planets - billions of miles from Earth, unknown for millennia - are being settled. Neptune, the ice giant, is swathed in clouds of hydrogen, helium, and methane and circled by rings of rock and dust. Three years ago, Ilona Magyr’s father, Miklos, disappeared while exploring the seas of Neptune. Everyone believes he is dead - crushed, frozen, or boiled alive in Neptune’s turbulent seas.

Too much romance and not near enough science fiction. This is a romance novel hiding out in the science fiction section.

Sixteen-year old Hazel lives in the Daedalus, a starship that is flying in search of a new world. The ship has been traveling for 500 years, searching for a world to settle in after having to abandon its last world. Everyone on board Daedalus lives a very simple existence in farming villages. The age of machines supplying their needs was lost during a mutiny 500 years ago.

Terrible
Revisado: 06-02-21
The book was either written by Elizabeth Klett herself or the same ghost writer that writes the majority of the books she narrates. The narrator's accent keeps taking me out of the story. The nauseating Victorian style English accent overpowers any story an author may want to convey. It's almost like the book was written to match her narrating style and not written to be a serious book.
This cannot be a genuine Peter F Hamilton book, If it is We Are in Deep Trouble People! It has none of the plot characteristics that are found in all previous Hamilton books like multiple story arcs, multiple protagonists, far reaching interstellar politics, converging plot lines, technology’s impact on society, multiple alien vistas, and events covering deep spans of time. The narrator sounds like a nasally Victorian aristocrat. Normally British accents can make even mediocre books sound good.
This book is a simple and one dimensional straight path to nowhere with an annoying paper thin protagonist. I cannot recommend it at all. The story itself is low quality young adult romance pretending to be Science Fiction. It's impossible to explore this world because the protagonist is constantly talking about her feelings. Example she sees an alien than say a three word sentence about it, but follows it up with a paragraph about how it makes her feel, but leaves out what the creature or people are doing in the scene. There are too many unnecessary emotive flashbacks. She keeps describing her feelings and not the world around her. As a reader I want to be aboard the starship not stuck in the characters head. The word giggle was used far too much. I have zero plans to follow the trilogy.

Venture, a direct rival to the Weyland-Yutani corporation, will accept any risk to crush the competition. Thus, when a corporate spy "acquires" a bizarre, leathery egg from a hijacked vessel, she takes it directly to the Venture testing facility on Jericho 3. Though unaware of the danger it poses, the scientists there recognize their prize's immeasurable value. Early tests reveal little, however, and they come to an inevitable conclusion. They need a human test subject.... Enter Zula Hendricks.

Just more the same old thing
Revisado: 11-10-19
This narrator sound like she was whispering the novel the whole time Or like she was out of breath. The alien novels will have to bring more to the table. Making the corporation one dimensional is a bad idea and gets old fast. I got tired of listening to the main character complain about her back pain.

Just Another Romance Story
Revisado: 06-05-19
The characters were fickle minded and directionless. This was pure Romance/Bromance in a scifi setting. if this novel can be said to have a theme it would be "lost in translation". The word repetition is horror able. If a book needs to repeat stuff this much the author should have just added a glossary in the back. I only stayed with it until the end because it is set in the Nightflyers universe.

Historia
Father of cyberpunk William Gibson’s original script for Alien III, written in 1987 as a sequel to Aliens, never made it to our screens, although it went on to achieve cult status among fans as the third instalment that might have been after being leaked online. This terrifying, cinematic multicast dramatisation - directed by the multi-award-winning Dirk Maggs - is the chance to experience William Gibson’s untold story and its terrifying, claustrophobic and dark encounters between humans and aliens, as a completely immersive audio experience.

Beyond the Aquila Rift: It's shorthand for the trip no one ever hopes to make by accident. The one that will screw up the rest of your life, the one that creates the ghosts you see haunting the shadows of company bars across the whole Bubble. Men and women ripped out of time, cut adrift from families and lovers by an accident of an alien technology we use but rarely comprehend.
