This simply is the best audiobook I've listened to out of 500+ titles. Just like The Martian, Weir immerses you into this ship and all the challenges Dr. Grace faces to save Earth through scientific knowledge and his addictive self humor and takes you through humans ultimate discovery of what lies beyond our solar system. This book is entertaining and funny and the science actually makes sense when Dr. Grace and Rocky are your teachers. And Porter is such an amazing narrator, please listen to this book.

Loved this book, made me laugh, made me cry, listened to it all in 1 day. The story starts simply between two girls who face challenges and obstacles in school and beyond but builds upon the bond friendship created when they met. We feel their pain, feel their love and their anger when it's due. Enduring friendships are best represented by authors who have that love and devotion in their daily lives. The heartfelt struggles are genuine and compelling from beginning to ending. Both the writing and narration are excellent and I look forward to Diana's next book!

As in many excellent and memorable stories, the Cold Daughters has young gentle spirit warriors who face this threat head on with their unique biological characteristics. A product of the regional war, these Daughters are inspirational and peacefully strive to correct humanities divisiveness. A wonderful story that's riveting to its last line.

I haven't enjoyed a book this much in a decade. Amazing writing and narrator made this a book I listened to in one day, couldn't turn it off. Highly scientific and funny it was simply a joy.
