Not Bad
Revisado: 03-01-22
I don't think the criticisms of the voice actor are really deserved. Maybe because I have heard a genuine 1 star recording on this platform. His pacing is some places felt a little rushed, but he might have been given some time limits for the length for all I know. Over all it's not that bad.

Historia
In a scrap heap within an abandoned factory, the greatest invention in history lies dormant and unused. By what fatal error of judgment has its value gone unrecognized, its brilliant inventor punished rather than rewarded for his efforts? In defense of those greatest of human qualities that have made civilization possible, one man sets out to show what would happen to the world if all the heroes of innovation and industry went on strike.

A philosophical fiction. A truth in fact.
Revisado: 08-17-19
Anything I might say about the content of this book has undoubtedly, already been stated by others. Instead, I will praise the Voice Actor who recorded this most important work of our time. His perfect performance seemed to underscore the over arching theme of this story, as if he would not accept anything less than his absolute best effort. I solute you sir. You are a shining example of a man who gives his best. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Acuff knows the reason why many writers' novels go unfinished - it's the same reason why gyms are filled in the first week of January and empty by the end of the month and why people stop learning a new language once they get past the easy parts. It's not just that people lose momentum or get distracted. People give up on projects when they fail to live up to their own high expectations and decide that if they can't do something perfectly, they won't do it at all. If you're going to finish, you have to kill perfectionism.

I disagree with his assertion that the majority of people are living in a knowledge based economy. I would argue that a small minority are and most people are still trading their hours for dollars.
